Squirrels are very clever. They quickly figure out how to bypass baffles, levers, and other so-called squirrel-proof devices. They seem to delight in the challenge. While we marvel at their craftiness, we are frustrated by their destructive natures. Bird lovers give up, don't buy seed and their feeders stand empty. When a squirrel lands on a WildBills™ bird feeder, he receives a harmless static sting. This surprises the squirrel and he jumps off. He may return only to be surprised again. Now he is conditioned. Because he is smart, he learns to avoid the feeder. Works on raccoons and other pests. Birds however, can't feel the sensation.
