Which product is best for you depends on what you need it to do:

- The M1 Kit will allow you to apply one product (such as fertilizer) at varying rates to different zones of the property. This is sufficient for most residential and commerical applications.

- The M1 Dual Kit has two injectors that allows you deliver twice as much product as the M1 or apply two different products at the same application rate.

- If you would like to apply multiple products at different application rates you will need two M1 Kits. For example, if you would like apply a rust inhibitor as well as fertilizer to your property, you will need a separate M1 Kit to apply that product to those zones nearest the house and driveway.

- M2 and M2 Dual Kits are for irrigation systems with higher flow rates.

For Systems with more than 8 zones:

The M1, M1 Dual, M2 and M2 Dual Kits all come with a single 8-zone controller. If you have more than 8 zones, you have several options.

- You can link additional controllers to handle 16, 24 or 32 zones. All you need to do is purchase an additional controller which includes a connector to link them together.

- For complex properties we recommend using the FertiGator AR-3 Controller. The AR-3 controller is the most exciting innovation in the entire field of non-agricultural fertigation. The FertiGator AR-3 is a 40-zone controller that independently controls three different injectors. It can be used with any combination of three M or Pro Series single or double injectors.

The FertiGator Spreadsheet

If you really want to be precise we've created a spreadsheet to help you determine what how many injectors you need for your system. It will also automatically calculate the proper pulse period and pulse rates for precise control of fertilization.

To determine the proper pulse settings and pulse period you will need the following:

 The total acreage of the yard and an estimate of the percent that is irrigated. The program will figure out the number of irrigated acres.

 The gallons per minute flow rate for each zone (enter in space 1.) If you wish, you can enter the GPM for each head and the program will figure out the gpms for each zone.

 The number of times the property is watered per week (from the sprinkler system timer.)

 The number of minutes each zone is on during each watering (from the sprinkler system timer.)

 Number of ounces of lawn care product per 1,000 square feet of property to be applied per month (per package directions).
 
The spreadsheet will help you set the initial settings for each zone. After that the controller can easily be adjusted to your taste.
