Fertilizer Information:
|
|
Whatever fertilizer or lawn care product you choose to put through your FertiGator, it should be:
- Relatively clean (they should flow through a 100 mesh screen)
- pH level above 4
- High in urea nitrogen for turf (other than centipede) - ideally above 14% nitrogen
- Water soluble fertilizers must remain in solution once mixed and should mix at least at the rate of 3 pounds in enough water to fill the rest of a gallon jug (3.5 pounds to the gallon)
- Approved for fertigation
- Please no Humic Acid-This is known to cause premature injector wear and will void the warranty
Below are some products that we have tested and found work well with the FertiGator. This is by no means an exhaustive list as there are thousands of fertilizer companies out there. In general, if you can find a local manufacturer of fertilizer it will be cheaper than if you have to ship product. We always reccomend a liquid product but if water soluable products are desired please make sure you follow the guidelines below to make a strong enough mixture. Many times results are marginal because the mixed solution is too weak

Many products are not compatible with one another. Be careful what you mix and deliver together through the FertiGator. Mixing products can cause violent reactions, clogs or render one or all products no longer effective to perform the functions intended.
